Our girl Marmalade

Hi everyone, Marmie's Mom here. Our girl is really very sick. She went for a sonogram this week, which showed nothing, but blood tests reveal that she has one of two things--inflammatory bowel disease or cancer. We're thinking it's the first, since she's had periodic flare-ups over the last few years, and will begin medication for IBD today. Please keep fingers and paws crossed for our girl. We love her so much and 2 years is not long enough time with her. I think Marmalade agrees that there is much more baying and counter-surfing to be done. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Bentley. I'm feeling a bit better and Mom and Dad say that it takes a lot to keep a bloodhound down. They say I'm in really good spirits. We're trying a new medicine today and hopefully it will work. In the meantime, I'm snoozing on my chair and hanging out with Bernie, who has been taking good care of me.

Good to hear you're feeling a bit better. Snoozing is good - rest and recover, and keep those good spirits, that's half the battle!

My tummy doesn't seem to have any issues, but Beau has a really touchy stomach, my humans have had to try a few things to keep his tummy happy!

If we can do anything to help, my e-mail is listed in my blog profile - OK?

Hi Marmie,
You are a precious girl, and you are in all of our thoughts. It sounds like you are on the mend according to your mom's updates. We are all with you in spirit!

BTW, are you part shar-pei? Those wrinkles are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

Keep your strength up. Would you like me to send salmon or... halibut? I'm sure I could steal some for you.

Your fellow counter-surfing thief,
Gus

Paws crossed, glad you're feeling better. Drool on the humans for me.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the good wishes. I feel better and spent the weekend sunning myself in the back yard (and helping Mom lay mulch--not sure if that was appreciated or not). I also found a new snooze spot--blog entry coming in the next few days.

And she stole my steak, a nice expensive juicy steak, cooked to a rare goodness. Had a balanced seasoning, grilled nicely, oh and the smell was divine. Just looking at it made me salivate, but then in her usual lightning fast ninja mode, she ran off with that steak. I couldn't get mad at her, it has nothing to do with age, it has everything to do with good taste.
