There's nothing like spring weather to make this hound all frisky. The humans decided to celebrate the end of a long and painful winter with a nice spring hike in Rock Creek Park. It was a bit muddy from the snow melt from the last few weeks and there were very few dogs around to say hello to, but I had a great time. The humans even packed bananas to snack on--my favorite!

As you can see, it got a bit warm, so I was panting and had my tongue sticking out in all the photos. The humans call it my silly face.

I've been busy helping the humans in the yard. My personal favorite activity is digging a nice hole in the garden bed and then lying down in the cool soil. It's a hound's life!

Hi Bernie!
It's nice to see you having so much fun. I think you look just fine with your tongue hanging. It comes across very natural and unposed that way. Anyway, when a dog's gotta pant, a dog's gotta pant. Hope there's lots more days like it coming up for you this spring.
Looks like a fun time was had by all. And I agree with Lola, panting is just what a dog is supposed to do. Looks just fine to me! I think that's how a handsome dog should look.

Hi there Bernie! A hike sounds like great fun. The snow finally melted, but it keeps raining here and my feet sink in the mud and I don't even weigh that much!
Warm weather...I remember that. Not far now! :)
Perfect weather for hikes!
Lucky dog! It is still snowy at our house. I bet you're glad the humans didn't take that darn cat along, huh? We are glad to hear that your humans are enjoying the spring weather. I know the winter was a very hard one for all of you. The sunshine will be good for everyone.
Hugs from the North,
Gus
