Sniffing in the snow

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! A-roo! It's fun sniffing in the snow--I can smell all kinds of stuff. We got over eight inches on Saturday and this hound was very excited. I played outside with the humans. Since my big ball is missing in action, the humans threw snowballs for me--which had the added feature of being edible.

I am usually a happy dog, but playing in the snow makes me even happier.

Everyone had fun in the snow, but Emma-cat preferred to watch from inside.

Aren't snowballs kind of confusing? I know they threw something...but then, it just kind of blends in with the rest of the snow! Still, it's a good reason to stick one's nose in the snow and snuffle. Good times!

We clearly agree with loving snow!

We are rather tired of the snow and cold up here. It hasn't been above zero since before Christmas, so there's been no fun in the snow for us. We have to run out to pee and get back in before our toes and ears freeze off.
We have had a little good snuffling, though. We've had a lynx hanging around and some fresh moose tracks to scent too. But other than that, mostly indoor play. Can't wait for spring!

Wading through all that snow must make one pretty cold - chilled to the bone even!
