Clean for a cause: County K-9 squad fundraiser PART 1

Hi everyone. We had quite a day today. Mom and Dad took us to the K-9 squad fundraiser. Our county has several police dogs--they even have two bloodhounds (who were working today and not present). Anyway, besides the fact that the fundraiser involved getting scrubbed in tubs, we had a great time.
Here's a fellow rescue hound checking our Bernie's hound credentials.

A couple of Great Danes also got in on the action...

Bernie was up first and did not enjoy his bath. Here's his best "poor me" pose.

Me... knowing what awaits.

Scrub time!

Toweling off yours truly.

It was a very eventful day to say the least.

Oh goodness, Bernie does look a bit pitiful there, doesn't he?

On the other hand, Marmalade, you looked quite noble there in the tub.

All for a good cause, and I'm sure you can both find something smelly to roll in soon to restore the lovely hound odor!

A bath for a good cause is only considered a half bath. But I agree with Bentley that you find something smelly to roll in ASAP!

So glad you found your fur-ever home...Zack and and Buddy are shelter dogs too...

Marmalade, what a great time you must have had! Did you make fun of Bernie when he was getting his bath? You are looking very healthy and happy.

Yes, I still bay with a southern accent! I came from Floyd County, GA--not sure if that's near you (we hounds are not great at geography)... and yes, I made fun of Bernie while he was getting scrubbed. He was not amused. Mom and Dad are spraying his teeth to break down plaque every night and he hates it! They have to pin him down. I just watch from my chair...
